Logo Evolution of Tech companies
I’ve been looking at Logo designs of a few companies for the past few days as inspiration for some new concepts of my own.
I thought it would be interesting to see how logo designs have changed for some of the big guys in the industry. Sometimes having a simple and unique design is all it takes to be iconic.

Some Funfacts that you may not have known about the logos:
- IBM used to have a globe in its 1924 designed logo, but dropped it because it wasn’t fun looking.
- Apple’s symbol has a bite to showcase it’s an apple and not a tomato. And there’s also some word play on bite/byte.
- The 1976 Microsoft logo features the blibbet, the name of the stylized O. This was also a burger served at the Microsoft cafeteria.
- Google’s always changing its logo to symbolize the a day in the year. Its most popular logo was the interactive Pacman logo released on May 22, 2010.
