WordPress 3.3 Sonny: a box of goodies

A few days ago I started upgrading my various blogs to WordPress 3.3. I like the new, slick looking style – it’s minimalist but very intuitive. It features Flyout Menus and a simplified, persistent admin toolbar at the top. I also like the backend upgrades.
- Support for co-editing: It’s now easier to work with a few team editors without over writing each other’s edits.
- Improved Widget/Theme support: Widget configuration is supported as you go back to previous installed themes.
- Permalinks & slugs: You can do more cool things with permalinks without performance penalty
- is_main_query(): a boolean function that returns if you are inside the primary or secondary WordPress query. Handy for PHP developers.
