Project Overview

BriteKind is a mobile iOS game created for children up to 6 years old, incorporating an augmented reality component that enhances interactive play. The game allows children to use a flashlight to draw in the air, with the device's front-facing camera tracking the flashlight's movement and translating it into pen strokes on the screen.

BriteKind partnered with ShoutEx to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the game. This collaboration included the creation of the Game Design Document, branding, promotional materials, and the marketing strategy for the App Store launch. ShoutEx’s expertise ensured a cohesive and compelling introduction of BriteKind to the market, effectively positioning it for success.


ShoutEx Methodology

ShoutEx approached the project methodically, starting with the creation of a Game Design Document. This allowed us to capture the app's requirements, emphasizing simplicity, fun, and physical activity for children.

Additionally, ShoutEx conducted a thorough competitor analysis to identify similar games or applications in the market. To gain further insights, they consulted with parents of children under 7 to understand their expectations for an app with such capabilities. This comprehensive strategy ensured that the final product met the needs of both the target audience and their caregivers, creating a well-rounded and engaging experience for young users.


The Solution

We developed the iOS app using the Unity framework engine, enabling us to leverage advanced AR/VR capabilities through the device camera without adding coding complexity or compromising app performance.

After creating the initial prototype, we manually tested it under various lighting conditions to fine-tune the optimal light sensitivity settings. This iterative approach allowed us to perfect the final version of the MVP.

ShoutEx also crafted a comprehensive launch program, complete with branded materials, and listed the app on the App Store using enhanced App Store Optimization (ASO) techniques. This ensured maximum visibility and engagement for the app's launch.

The Results

The app was developed from ideation to market launch in less than three weeks. This fast and efficient MVP process exemplifies ShoutEx's approach to product development. Our successful MVP launch resulted in over 5,000 downloads, more than 14,000 hours of playtime, and a five-star app rating. This swift and effective execution underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality products quickly, meeting market demands, and exceeding user expectations.
