Video Animation using Comic Styled Characters

In one recent sales conversation about video animation, our talks went towards persona development of on-screen characters. This is a hot topic since it’s a challenge to convey the right image, emotion and message through comic-styled characters.

What you need to keep in mind is…

  • who is your intended audience
  • what type of message should they remember you with
  • and what call-to-action is required

Sometimes character personas let you address these points, without having to explain in words. And you know the old adage – less is more.

Here is one example of how we used a character to showcase online shopping.

    It is very difficult to show emotions in the correct format using characters. It is a hit or miss. However, if you get it right, then you are creating something very beautiful.
